Case Study: Save the Manatee Club

In February, 2005, Save The Manatee Club (SMC), a non-profit organization established in 1981 by former Florida Governor Bob Graham and singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett so the public could participate in conservation efforts to save endangered manatees from extinction, charged its web services provider, NetPass, Internet Solutions Provider, for the production of an interactive online Manatee Maze game and other interactive 'Cool Stuff' components such as e-postcard system, etc. for their website at www.savethemanatee.org designed to further the organization's educational initiatives.

After carefully evaluating the objectives of the project, and reviewing a prospective architecture with SMC personnel, NetPass began production by isolating required graphics from the provided drawings, converting elements into digital format, animating gaming sequences, developing code structures for keyboard-driven movement and Hazard interaction, and digitizing and integrating game music.
